Erythritol stevia hazelnut brownies
Brownies with roasted hazelnuts and coarse sea salt (Salted Hazelnut Brownies)
Delicious brownies without added sugar? Yes, it really is possible! These fudgy brownies with roasted hazelnuts are made with our Erythritol Stevia blend, which is just as sweet as sugar but contains none of the calories. Finish the brownies with coarse sea salt and enjoy!
You can replace Erythritol-Stevia one-to-one with SweetLife Xylitol, as both sweeteners are equally sweet. For 16 servings
Ingredients
160 g SweetLife Natural Erythritol-Stevia or Xylitol
75 g butter
75 g sunflower oil
75 g dark chocolate, cubed
75 g all-purpose flour
75 g (whole) milk
50 g cocoa
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Coarse sea salt, for garnish
Equipment:
20x20 cm baking tin
Baking paper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees fan-assisted or 170 degrees electric. Grease a baking tin and line it with baking paper.
2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Once the butter has melted, add the sunflower oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Let cool briefly until it no longer feels warm. 3. Add the eggs one by one, using a whisk to mix well until the mixture has lightened in color. Add the SweetLife Erythritol-Stevia or the Xylitol. Use a whisk to mix well until it becomes a glossy, cohesive mass.
4. Mix the chopped hazelnuts with 1 teaspoon of the flour. Set aside.
5. Use a sieve to add the rest of the all-purpose flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Fold this into the batter. Once it is a cohesive mass, add the hazelnuts. Fold them into the batter until the flour is dissolved.
6. Pour the batter into the baking tin and finish with coarse sea salt. Bake the brownie for 20-25 minutes in the middle of the oven. Use a toothpick to check if the brownie is done; the edges should be set, but the toothpick does not need to come out clean.
7. Remove the brownie from the oven and let it cool. Cut into 16 equal pieces and enjoy!
Tip! These brownies are best when fresh! Do you want to store the brownies for a day? Do so in an airtight Tupperware container.
